The film depicts the magic trick ‘Sawing a woman in half’: the magician’s assistant entered the wooden box alone and got cut into two by the sudden appearance of the circular saw. She seemed frightened at first but suddenly laughed at the climax of the show, claiming that her pain is merely a performance. Whenever the audience is present, the actor – even when taking the stage ‘voluntarily’ – will inevitably become isolated from the rest of the world.
